This is neither a love story, nor a story of adultery. This is an ancient greek common tragedy, where an iconic character of the world literature gets a new interpretation in the performance of a well-known actor and director Aleksandr Galibin.

Anna Karenina in this performance is a woman with no past and no future. This is a woman who destroys. She is a mystical character, demonic heroine, who comes to realize that she does not know herself and doesn’t know what she wants. Does she love Vronsky? Does she hate Karenin? Does she need her son? Why does she throw herself under a train? The play is staged by Yelena Gremina basing on the novel of Lev Tolstoy “Anna Karenina”
